Yard Signs - Design it Right!
So you've decided you need a yard sign to share your message... so now how can you be sure your message gets through?
The number one mistake buyers make is to try to get too much information on the sign. They want the company name, products, website, phone number, address, and contact information... and maybe even a logo! TOO MUCH! If a sign face as too much going on, it is completely useless and a waste of money.
With a yard sign you have just a little space -- maybe 12" x 18" or 24" x 36". You have to make the most of what you are trying to say!
Here are some tips to remember when you are designing your yard sign:
1. Only have between 2 and 4 pieces of information! More than that, and the reader can't take ANY of it in. If it is for an event, just have the name of the event, date, time, and place. That's all you really need!!
2. Keep colors clean and simple. You may want to have lots of color going on, but that appears cluttered in a small area. Simple one or two color graphics are all you need -- and keep plenty of contrast going on!
3. What is your goal? If your goal is for the phone to ring, then get that phone number on there with a simple phrase of what you are offering. Don't worry about all the detaill -- you just that phone to ring!
4. Ask where they heard about you!! If you want to know if your yard signs are working, ASK your clients or prospects how they found you. They'll remember your yard sign if you ask them.
5. Quantity is king!! If you are looking to maximize your value, order MORE signs. We have yard signs as cheap as $5 each if you can buy in larger quantities. Low quantities can mean yard signs at a much high price.
