When you are thinking about designing your POLITICAL YARD SIGNS you should consider cost, of course, and material choices, but DESIGN is one of the key elements to help your signs give you the most value.

Here are some tips to consider during your design process:

- Don't Include Too Much! Signs that are cluttered with too many words or graphics will appear as 'white noise' when viewed from a moving vehicle.  Keep your message and image short and easy to read.  

- Colors matter! Be sure you are keeping your color pallette simple -- no more than 3 colors, and 2 colors can often work just fine.  Talk to your logo designer about the power and meaning of colors so your image gives the right impression.

- Be bold! Selecting your campaign logo is an important step and signage layout is critical in logo design decisions.  What might look great on a brochure can look messy or odd on a sign.  Ask your designer to show you sign layouts along with logo concepts so when you are ready to order signs, you understand the final product.

- Be unique!  Your sign should share some unique aspects to set it apart in the right way.

- Tagline is key.  Your message should be captured in your tagline, which must be brief.  You want the repetition of your name and message to be your primary consideration.

- Size may not matter.  If a design is simple and bold enough, the sign doesn't need to be overly large, saving you on your campaign budget.
